Me & Mr. Jonze

Although it debuted this past summer we noticed in conversations a lot of people still haven’t seen the short film I’m Here by Spike Jonze. As seen in his previous movie Where the Wild Things Are he deals heavily with nonhuman beings and gives them very human like characteristics. Although the film is a bit more somber then we’re used to, it has an upbeat feel and somewhat of a bittersweet ending. The film sponsored by Absolut Vodka is just a small taste in what could have easily been a full length feature film, but keeps the audience looking to see what Jonze has up his sleeve in future projects. Definitely give a listen to the soundtrack for the film as well, enlisting the musical stylings of Animal Collective, Sleigh Bells, and Girls setting the mood of the funky but easy going pace of the film.
